Horses love, love, love PEMF!!! It is endlessly amazing how quickly and effectively they respond to this modality.
Typical Session- Most equine sessions are 30-60 minutes. An average session begins after chatting with the owner about potential area’s of pain, discomfort or tightness and if there are any behavior issues (often linked to physical discomfort) or performance issues. Each horse is then palpated to further inform the practitioner of any other areas the horse may need support/work. Typically, the whole body can be worked on in a 60 minute session with time to focus of specific areas. If the client is healing from an injury, the session can also focus primarily on the injury as well as supporting the rest of the body to help prevent long term damage from compensatory patterns.
During each session, PEMF helps increase cellular function, decrease pain, decrease inflammation, increase circulation and inevitably improve performance. PEMF is also tremendous in helping horses heal from injuries such as muscle, tendon or ligament tears whether they are minor or major, hoof abscesses, colic or other surgeries, fractured bones, arthritis, wounds etc. Whether your horse is a rigorous competitor in jumping, eventing, reining, dressage, working cow horse, lesson horse, a working ranch horse, retired and/or a beloved family pet, PEMF will help their overall comfort and well-being as a part of their maintenance regime and/or training program.
